Lyndon joined Horizon Engineering in 2005 and he is fluent in English, Mandarin and Japanese.
Ulysses worked as a geotechnical engineer in the Lower Mainland of British Columbia, with over 15 years of experience in the engineering consulting industry. He was involved in various types of building development projects, ranging from residential (low-rise to high-rise buildings), commercial/industrial, to institutional (schools, hospitals). His experience also included infrastructure projects, such as the Evergreen Line Rapid Transit project. His technical experience included field investigation techniques and geotechnical design work involving shallow/deep foundation, site preparation, slope stability, seismic considerations, retaining structures, and excavations. Ulysses is fluent in English and Mandarin
Nima has worked as a geotechnical engineer with Horizon since 2015. He has experience in soil-structure interaction modeling and simulation, liquefaction assessment, site response analysis, slope stability analysis, embankment and earth retaining structure design, design of foundations, site investigation, and laboratory testing. He specializes in evaluating response of infrastructure systems under static and seismic loads and has been involved in developing software for numerical modeling of earthquake-soil-structure-interaction systems for his doctoral studies at UC Davis. He has provided geotechnical engineering services for a variety of projects extending to infrastructures, residential developments, highways, bridges, and slopes. Nima is fluent in English and Farsi.
Diane has been with Horizon Engineering since she graduated from the UBC Civil Engineering program in 2015, with a course focus on geotechnical engineering. She has gained experience in geotechnical engineering including stormwater management design, surface and sub-surface drainage considerations, drainage remediation, soil gas management, excavation shoring, foundation design, field investigation, laboratory testing, and field reviews during construction.
Jonah joined Horizon Engineering in 2019. He has gained geotechnical consulting experience in a range of residential, commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects since graduating from the UBCO Civil Engineering program in 2017. His background includes familiarity with design of shoring, retaining walls, and groundwater cut-off walls, and he has experience with ground improvement, slope stability and settlement analyses, site investigations, and laboratory testing.
Anshuman joined Horizon Engineering in 2021. He has gained experience in the areas of earthworks design and construction, specifically Mechanically Stabilised Earth (MSE) walls. His background includes familiarity with MSE design & geosynthetics, earthworks construction and geotechnical slope stability. A significant portion of his work experience has been in MSE design & construction, and he has been part of various MSE projects throughout Canada (in the sectors of transportation, residential construction, and heavy industry). He is registered as a professional engineer with EGBC and APEGA, and is fluent in English and Hindi.

Field Engineers

Since joining Horizon Engineering in 2014 as an Engineer-In-Training (EIT), Jason has worked on various aspects of geotechnical engineering projects, carrying out field reviews for shotcrete shoring, deep foundations, and quality control testing. Jason is fluent in English and Cantonese.
